Braided cords HANZO

Braided fishing line, as the name implies, it looks like a braided rope only much thinner. Braid is the thinnest type of fishing line of all. If you compare it with monofilament, then it with a test of 10 pounds is equal to the thickness of a monofilament of 4 pounds.

What you need to know when choosing a fishing line

Most lines can be used to catch any type of fish. The main thing to think about is the size of the fish. If you are planning to fish small in size, you will need a thin line. For larger fish such as perch, zander and lake trout, thick line is best. Basically, the diameter of the line used for fishing varies from 0.1 to 0.2 mm (the length of the leash can vary from 10 cm to 1 m).

The main type of fishing line:

  • Monofilament line (monofilament or monofilament) is the thickest and strongest line. It can stretch a little during the bite. Monofilament is the most affordable line of all fishing tackle on the market.
  • Fluorocarbon line, like monofilament, is transparent, which makes it less visible under water. It does not stretch much, which allows you to better feel the bite. This line is slightly thinner than monofilament, but stronger.
  • Braided line is the thinnest type of line. The main difference between the braid and ordinary fishing line is its reliability and high strength. To achieve good success with this line, it is best to use the Palomar knot.
